Biography

Giuseppe Chiucchiù was born in Latina in 1964 and received his professional training in the Federal Republic of Germany before working for important news agencies as an independent freelancer. He worked as a photoreporter in El Salvador, Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Israel, Albania, Costa Rica, Tunisia, Scotland, China, India and Uzbekistan, but he always has been deeply rooted in the Marche, where he has been living and working for over twenty years.

Giuseppe Chiucchiù’s photos have been shown in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad. With his exhibition of digital art “Omnibus” in Serra de’ Conti in 2004 he showed yet another angle of his artistic gift. In 1999 he has won acclaim for his first book with photos from his home region, “Le Marche, Terra sconosciuta”. His second photo book about the Marches “Marche - Le colline del sogno / Marche - Dreamland Hills” has been published in November 2006 and was recently celebrated with an exhibition of selected photos.
